Running like death

Have continued to run like absolute shit. Took a break today and might just call it a shit month. Here was my session from last night. Probably lasted like 45 mins before i just started laughing and decided enough was enough.



Add this to the rest of my April and we have what is known as a fucking useless month overall.



I guess as a round up for the month here are my stats

• +$154 profit from the cash tables (YEHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!)
• +$70 reload bonus
• ~20k fpp's.

Atleast i only need like 19k more until i can get the 1k electronics voucher. Hopefully May is kinder to me.

running bad.

The last 5 days have basically just been a combinaton of running bad or getting coolered. Luckily im playing well so i've managed to remain in the green (only just), but i could have easily have been up a solid amount this week.

My roll was slowly approaching 2k which would give me 20 buy ins for nl100 but my staker and i decided that remaining at nl50 would be the better option. I cashed out enough to put me back to 1k so let the rebuild begin! Roll is currently 1046.

Reflecting

Managed to get pokerstars to send me my complete hand history since about November last year. ~150k hands covering everything from 1c/2c to 25c/50c.

Generally heading in the right direction but i've definitely spewed/tilted off more buy ins at nl50 than i should have. April is still kicking along fairly standardly. Had a bit of a swong yesterday down about 3 buy ins at one stage, but managed to recover most of it. Roll is $1648.60

In other news, has anyone else noticed the decline in the quality/amount of poker blogs these days? Seems like everyone is just getting over it or maybe i need to update my blogroll and blog reading list.

Rethinking

Had a big rethink recently about why i've been going so shite at 50nl. After like 60k hands i was pretty much back to even, the only thing keeping me slightly positive was the fpp's i had earned. I decided that rather than being so stubborn i would try rethink my game fairly drastically. I rewatched a bunch of videos and read some strategy guides while also deciding to reduce the number of tables i've been playing to around 5 (max 6). It seems to be helping and the roll is back to ~1.5k.

ARGHHHHH WEEKEND DONKS!

The weekend donks have been running like absolute god against me the last few days. down 6 buy ins (4 today, 2 yesterday) and am feeling quite tilted :(





Roll has dropped to $1191 which is quite annoying. Hands like this put me in a bad mindset and the results followed.

Race to 10k!

Like a lot of poker players i occassionally struggled to get motivated to log hands. A fellow blogger http://thegreatestcriminalpokermind.blogspot.com/ who is at a similar position stakes and bankroll wise had the great idea to have a race to 10k. Should be good fun and being the competitive person that i am, it should help me increase my volume! Currently my roll is $1475 and his is $1680 so we both have a while to go but its always good to have goals in mind for the long term.

Short term im still hoping to achieve my goals for the month (1.5k profit, 50k hands) and eventually get the fpp's for the 1k gift voucher. Time to play!

Feeling good.

Feeling good and the results seem to be following. Roll is quickly approaching 1.5k ($1475) and my redline is improving a lot. I've stopped being such a leaky bluffy tilt monkey, atleast for the moment. Back in the green for the month as well after my horror start:

Got a big night on the town planned tonight but i'll be looking to log some decent volume in the coming days.

Plan for tomorrow

My plan for tomorrow is to play 2k hands 6 tabling. Should be about 4 hours total game time. The only thing that should stop me is if i reach my 3 buy in per day stop-loss.

*Update*: Didn't play the 2k hands i wanted because i got trapped doing other stuff. Was able to play for like 2 hours and won around $80 which was nice.

Better form

After the last few days of shite poker and the blog rambling to go with it i decided to once again have one of my lightbulb moments and actually chill out, watch some videos and go back to 4-6 tabling. I came back today with a much more positive attitude and a view to play good poker.

Results were much improved obviously but the month overall is still shite.

Tomorrow i have 2 mid semester exams but after that i start hols so im looking forward to grinding a ton of hands and getting back to peak.

Irritable

Feel really annoyed at the moment. Played only 1.5k hands this month and im already down over 4 buy ins at nl50. Just can't seem to start well when a new month comes despite my best intentions. Roll was $1400 when i started its now $1155. Really not sure how i want to play at the moment: I can either 6 table and try maximise my winrate or i can 12 table, probably make a small amount of money over the course of the month but get more fpp's.

Im in that mood at the moment where i feel impatient because donks have been outdrawing me ridiculously. This causes me to be unable to play well when im just 6 tabling because i try make moves etc. Fucking annoying state of mind overall.

Might hit it again tomorrow and just try forget about the money and play 7 tables. Really try think about my game and my opponents some more and get this shit going in the right direction. If i go back down to $1000 i think i might seriously just end the stake and resume at NL10 on another site.

March wrap.

Overall a much better month for me. While i started a bit swongily i came home strong i managed to win almost $900 for the month.

This brings the roll up to $1400 so i achieved my goals previously stated a few blog posts ago and got platinum star as well! Additionally i have now removed the damage done by Feb and am looking forward to playing some good pokes in April.

GOALS FOR APRIL:

1. Play 50k hands

2. Win 1.5k

3. 3 buy in per session stop loss.

4. Don't tilt/ 2 & 3 barrel stations!

If i can achieve these i will be very happy. As platinum star im now aiming over the next 2 months to redeem a $1000 electronic store gift voucher which i can use to buy a 32inch lcd tv! gogogogogogo!
