Running worse than ever before

Currently running ridiculously bad. Don't really feel like talking in depth about it but im currently down 5 buy ins after like 10k hands.
Graph is missing like -130 from a sweat/coaching session i did at a friends house from like 1500 hands.
Really looking forward to the day i run good again.

And back down to earth

Managed to lose all my profit and am now officially down $1.10 from my start point of $500. Going to have a big look over my poker tracker stats from the past few days and see wtf i have been doing. Being honest i think i just need to step back and actually look at my game and some hand history objectively. What seemed to work at limits prior to this may not work here. There's so much more 3 betting and aggression etc going on here that i think i need to tweak my game accordingly.

Currently im playing like a 17/15 style. Maybe i need to loosen up? Going to watch a few vids tomorrow and review some of my bigger hands. Perhaps its all just variance (given that its only a 5.2k hand sample) and i just need to get through it.

progressing north east

Very swongy at NL50 but atleast im in the green. Back at peak right now however peak is only +$135. Really want to grind out the hands and get a good indication whether im ready for this level or not. From this mornings session i finished +30 even after i was 2 outered in a nice size pot.

Oh well, atleast we weren't all full stacked. I just love the retarded cold calling preflop with KK. Nice one mate!

New staking deal

So my plans the other day didn't quite go as planned. I woke up late and then my friends wanted to go get lunch out so i did that and then went to the gym etc. Eventually i managed to log like 1300 hands for the day, initially losing like 3.5 buy ins from solid run bad, but then making all that back to finish even. I decided that staking was probably the bestdeal for me at this point so i made an ad on 2p2 and got some good responses. Eventually i decided on a fellow Aussie and he quickly sent me 10 buy ins for NL50. The deal is a 50/50 split with me keeping the points which im very happy with.
Things started well and i was up almost 2 buy ins after day 1 (yesterday) but then the run bad hit and i found myself down almost 2 buy ins for a 4 buy ins overall drop at one point today. I eventually finished back at ~$500 so im back to square one for the stake.
Looking forward to playing a shit-ton of hands in the coming weeks. Uni starts tomorrow but i only have to go basically 1 day a week (big day though!) so the pokers should be happening in a big way. Here's the current graph on the stake:

good start and plans for tomorrow

Started well with my first session winning like 3 buy ins. played like 2k hands now and am up $72.50, running at 19.02bb/100 (godmode). Going to test myself tomorrow and try play 4k hands. 10 tabling this should take around 5 hours roughly. So the plan is:

- Play 5 one hour blocks starting at between 9am and 11am (depedent on what time i get up).
- Hop off if i lose 3 buy ins in a session and cool for an hour.

The goals is to win $70 which would mean a win rate of around 9bb/100 which i would be happy with. Roll is current $272. GOGOGOGOGO tomorrow!

Goals for the rest of Feb

I've had my fun and its time to get back to the grind. I've been reading a bit lately about the importance of goal setting to keep you motivated and heading in the right direction so i thought i would make some myself. With 9 days left in Feb here they are (for the time being. Might readjust later on).

1. Play 2k hands a day. = 18k for the rest of the month
2. win $250 in this period (equates to about a 7bb/100 average)
3. Maintain 3 buy in stop loss per session.
4. Watch some more vids.

Will report on how im travelling with these goals as the days progress. Time to hit the tables!

IM BACKKKKKKKK!

Absolutely the most insane, awesome experience of my life. Thailand was seriously incredible. 2 weeks of non-stop partying in the evening relaxing on picture perfect beaches during the day. Mix in a non stop supply of awesome, cheap food and u have whats known as the perfect holiday. Only slight drawback is that all the partying has left me fairly battered physically, mentally and financially. Definately worth all the sacrifices though.

Here's a few snaps:

Me and the guys early on full moon's evening. (yours truly on the far left sporting the green headband).

The lads again with more buckets. (Basically buckets are a mixture of a shitload of a certain type of spirit with usually 2 mixers. 3 buckets is equivalent to about a 750ml bottle of alcohol like Smirnoff vodka etc)

Me and a few of the lads at Maya Bay (where the movie "The Beach" was shot). Amazing place. Picture gives off a gay vibe but thats what happens when u spend 2 weeks straight with mostly other men ;) (although there were many ladies as well).

Definitely on the back end of full moon evening. Starting to really struggle in this photo. I remember the guy with orange vest thing was trying to sell us hats and me and my mate were haggling him drunkenly with ridiculous prices. In total i managed 5 changs and 3 buckets that night without vomiting so a good effort.

Anyway thats enough tirp banter. On the poker front i grinded qa tiny bit before i left (like 400 hands) and made 3 buy ins at NL10 so the roll is $230. Gonna have dinner now but might log a session afterwards.

Mehhhhhh month.

January initially had a lot of promise but a combination of being busy and organising stakes etc meant i really didn't log much volume. Overall i think i was up about $700 at NL50 but only about $300 was mine. Total hands played was around 7k which is terribad.

Anyway i needed to withdraw some money to pay for some things so unfortunately i had to end my staking deal. (I supplied the initial roll, staker reimbursed me in the event i dropped below this figure). I leave for Thailand tomorrow as well for 2 weeks so def no poker a while. When i return im restarting with $200 at NL10. Hopefully i can refind the desire to grind.
