smooth sailing

Running quite well at the moment. Played a small session last night and another one this morning to lift my roll to $213.73. Today's session was super swongy, within 50 hands i was up a buy in, then over the next 50 hands i found myself stuck a buy in. (Mainly due to shit like this: http://www.pokerhand.org/?2185378).

However over the course of the session i managed to claw back and even get revenge on my nemesis (see above) with this little beauty:

Back on track

Grinded a bit more yesterday and for about 30 mins today. Actually got as low as about $145 before i made an executive decision. For the majority of my 10k hands played thus far i have been 9 tabling at a minimum. I decided yesterday after spewing away more money that i would drop down to 6 tables and try concentrate more. This has worked well and i have managed to extend my roll to over $190.

When this hand hit i was at the back end of a very shitty patch of cards. I reckon if my opponent sucked out i would have probably tilted the rest of my money away at 1/2.
Here are my current stats. bb/100 is slowly building. Would love to get it closer to 5 over the next 3k hands.

Ahhhh shit!

Just got up from about a 10 minute session where i somehow managed to fuckoff around $17. Last night after my post i played for about an hour and managed to lift my roll to over $177. However i just pissed that profit away plus more. Little beauties like this were the reason:

I should really be maintaning a winrate of around 10bb/100 over a large sample like 7000 hands but i have just been running shithouse. Anyway thats the end of my rant. Im gonna go get some breakfast and maybe play later on.

Returning for the long haul!

Ok now my holidays are over i have decided to give poker a solid crack. Unfortunately i spent too much time partying and away from home to actually build a solid bankroll. I deposited $100 on full tilt last friday. I thought i would start at nl10 playing some of the $3 cap games mixed with some of thenormal 6 max nl10.

Results thus far have been very mixed. I was initially running very nicely. However, in typical form after about 2000 hands i started copping some serious swings. At the moment the roll sits on $167.13

I have set myself some poker related goals:

  • Weekly, i would like to play around 3000 hands. This will allow me to try build a solid bankroll but to also allocate enough time to uni work.
  • Update poker tracker after every session and assess any marginal hands i lost during the session.
  • Work on my tilt! --> use a stop loss of 3 buy ins to ensure i dont piss away my money from tilting.
  • Make $100 a week.
I will check this goals a month from now to see if i have met them.
